Tendai M. Chiware, M.D. is a fellowship trained reproductive endocrinologist committed to helping people start or complete their families. Born in London, she attended medical school and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the U.K. She then relocated to the U.S., where she completed residency training at the St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor Michigan. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Vermont.
Dr. Chiware’s interests lie in reproductive surgery and the treatment of PCOS and she has special competency in the field of assisted reproduction – in particular, fertility preservation and optimizing the response to ovarian stimulation. Dr. Chiware has worked extensively with the World Health Organization to improve access to reproductive services. In that capacity, she has traveled extensively on short missions around the world that have aimed to improve the quality of care. She has written about and presented the results of her research work at numerous national and international conferences. She is the recipient of many awards and has also received grant funding for this work.
Dr. Chiware is passionate about providing her patients with innovative and cutting edge treatment. She believes in patient-centered and personalized care, emphasizing patient education and inclusion in all decision-making regarding their care. Her primary goals are to establish excellent working relationships with her patients and to achieve for them the best possible outcomes. Her most prized professional goal is to help her patients become parents.
