Like many women going through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) – during a pandemic, no less! – Khloé Kardashian is getting frustrated with the process. Kardashian is mom to (almost) three year old True, her daughter with NBA star Tristan Thompson; but wants to give her daughter a sibling, sooner rather than later.
In a recent interview on Lady Parts with Sarah Hyland, Khloé opened up about how her plans for expanding her family were stalled during the quarantine.
“My plan was to have kids closer in age,” Khloé said. “But with COVID and everything, my plan’s been a little delayed. I definitely do want more kids. I have so many brothers and sisters. I think it’s such a blessing — especially during these times — to have a family member or people that you can play with and rely on and just have a buddy through life.”
The pandemic made the reality star evaluate her current little family. “Being in quarantine with her, I felt bad. She had no friends, she had nobody, because they were isolated from each other. True is getting older. I just feel like it’s now time to have another kid.”
She’s a step closer than most, as Kardashian and Thompson have already made embryos.
“I actually have made embryos.”
During the interview she shared that she did IVF three times and froze her eggs. She called her “12 – 14” eggs a “great insurance policy”, but unfortunately none of them survived being thawed. “We realized that my eggs aren’t strong enough to be frozen. They should be mixed immediately with sperm to make embryos.”
